湘潭科大生物標本工程有限公司是原湖南科技大學生物教學標本廠改制而成的股份企業，是一家集科研、生產、設計施工為一體的科技企業。一九八五年三月，經湖南省林業廳及相關主管部門的審批獲準成立，主要經營項目是制作野生動植物標本和生產生物科學儀器設備及相關應用軟件的開發，為航空兵機場進行鳥害防治調查、機場驅鳥設備研發、國防機要工程施工，設計和承建大小生物科技展館和各類自然博物館的生物科技實體。公司現有各類技術人員三十五人，其中特聘教授三人，博士、碩士四人，公司下設三個部門，生產制作基地一千余平方，辦公場地及生態展示廳二百余平方。
　　公司始建初期主要是為本校自身的教學科研提供服務, 二十多年來經過公司全體人員的不斷努力與艱辛工作發展成為了走出校門，能面向全國為各大專院校、中小學校、為部隊提供專業服務的科研技術單位,并與湖南師范大學、湖南中南大學、軍隊院所等研究部門結成科研合作伙伴。我公司設計、施工承建的各類展館有：湖南瀏陽生態展覽館，毛澤東故居滴水洞生態展館、南京青少年科普教育基地生態展覽館、國家級自然保護區莽山自然博物館、內蒙古滿州里民族博物館、江西井岡山農業科技示范園展覽館、江西宜春市自然博物館，四川西南科技大學生態標本館. 中央民族大學生物科學館、湖南農業大學標本館、長沙市一中生態標本館、深圳市寶安高級中學、中國農業大學生態標本館、上海農業大學生物標本館、廣東南嶺國家級自然保護區博物館等各類型展館。從二00三年起,經空軍和海軍機場部的批準,我公司擔負了其所轄機場的鳥害防治、信息化建設等國防機密工程任務，曾多次受到了黨和軍隊領導人的贊許與好評，并獲得了二00四年中國產品質量中心授予的“全國產品質量、信譽、雙保障先進示范單位”,二00五年在人民大會堂獲得了中華人民共和國“最佳影響的生態標本工程企業”的榮譽稱號。
　　我公司科技人員先后應韓國、俄羅斯、日本等國家邀請出國進行學術交流，并在《野生動物雜志》、《中國教育理論雜志》、《中國中醫論文集》等國家刊物上發表了專業論文十余篇。受到了國內外專業人士的高度重視與好評。

The Life Specimen Factory of Hunan Science College(the former Xiangtan Normal University), established in 1985, is only one of professional factory which fabricates animals and plants specimen, training special skill personals, oriented to provide the professional service for teaching, science studying units.
In the more20 years developing period, from specimen self-products and self-sales making room, we have become professional units special in offering the series of specimen for national colleges, schools and concerning units. We have in possession of professional professors, deputy professors, doctors, masters special in wild lives research and even employ the wild animals experts of Hunan Normal University as adviser.

Life specimen is the key evidence and proof to study and explore the life shape, structure and peculiarity. They have the characteristic of structure integrated, life liked and long-kept. So not only used in science study, also in appreciation and enshrine, and got the title of "life relic "and antique in the human development history. Some of the precious specimen has become to vanish and to be of the rare collection.

We have provided the plenty's sets of animals and plants specimen and life craft specimen for hundreds of units, such as Publicity and Teaching Hall in Hunan Forest Park, Biology Department of Changde Normal University, and so on. Furthermore, we also design and incubate the Hunan Liuyang Biology Specimen Exhibition Hall, more 10 natural exhibition hall, especially invited by Jilin Forest Bureau and Hushun Nation Nature Protect Zone, fabricated a sets rare wild northwest tiger specimen, gain the honors and appraise by the wild animal specialist.
